Minor Hotels in Auckland is expanding its Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences housekeeping team with multiple part-time roles. We seek dedicated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

If you’re energetic, meticulous and team-oriented, we’d love to have you on board! You will maintain high cleanliness standards in guest rooms, assist with bed making, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing.
• Professional and clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to high standards, including making beds, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning.

Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple part-time opportunities now available.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.


• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.


• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.


• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.


• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.


• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.
  

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday


• $24.50 NZD per hour

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.


• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).


• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.


• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.


• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.


• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.


• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
