Job summary

Maid2Match NZ is seeking a House Cleaner to join our team in Auckland CBD. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across Te Wanaka Lodge and Wanaka Selection properties, and delivering a great guest experience.

This permanent role offers a living wage and career progression, with shifts including mornings, weekends, evenings and holidays. Located in Auckland CBD, NZ, applicants must meet NZ work rights and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have proof of right to work in New Zealand.
• Must have a NZ bank account and IRD number.
• Must have a full driver's licence and be legally able to drive in NZ.
• Must be able to converse in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all Te Wanaka Lodge and Wanaka Selection Properties areas.
• Clean, service and prepare all lodge guest rooms and Wanaka Selection properties in line with policy.
• Work to daily and weekly job lists.
• Complete all periodical tasks as outlined in the cleaning checklists.
• Submit items left in guest rooms to lost property and record in the logbook.
• Store all clean, damaged and soiled laundry per policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment at all times.
• Keep housekeeping car clean and stocked and inform line manager when stocks run out.
• Report maintenance issues to line manager immediately, including furniture and equipment.
• Report security issues to line manager.
• Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure comfort, satisfaction and safety.

Job description

The primary role of housekeeping staff is to clean all areas of Te Wanaka Lodge and Wanaka Selection properties thoroughly, with the key aim of enhancing the customer experience, by having excellent standards of cleanliness.

Preferred requirements

• Be able to maintain the highest standard of work
• Work hard, effectively and well under pressure
• Have proof of right to work in New Zealand (NZ)
• Have a NZ bank account and IRD number
• Have a full drivers licence and be legally able to drive in NZ

• Able to work mornings, weekends, evenings, school and public holidays
• Must be able to pass a police check

Main responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all Te Wanaka Lodge and Wanaka Selection Properties areas
• Clean, Service and Prepare all Lodge guest rooms and Wanaka Selection properties, in line with company policy
• Work to daily and weekly job lists.
• Complete all periodical tasks, as outlined in the monthly and spring cleaning checklists
• Submit all items left in lodge guest room/houses to lost property and items record in lost property book
• Store all clean, damaged and soiled laundry in line with company policy
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment at all times
• Keep housekeeping car clean and fully stocked and advise line manager when stocks are running out
• Report any maintenance issues immediately to line manager, including all furniture, fittings and equipment
• Report any security issues to line manager
• Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests, to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
