Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel, hospitality, or customer-focused environment.
• Strong general building maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or painting tasks.
• Hands-on team player with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn, take responsibility, and work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and hazard identification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and decorating work.
• Regularly inspect hotel equipment, plant, and facilities and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and communicate follow-up needs.
• Follow health, safety, fire, and security procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining fire panels, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and other safety systems.
• Work closely with hotel departments to respond to maintenance requests.
• Assist with special projects and participate in training to expand technical skills.
