Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Christchurch seeks experienced health Social Workers for fixed-term positions. Roles include 0.5FTE (20 h/wk) until 27 Mar 2027 and 0.4FTE (16 h/wk) until 5 Jan 2027, potentially combined to 0.9FTE. Shifts: Wed–Fri 8:00–15:30 or Mon–Tue 7:30–16:00, based at Christchurch Health Campus.

You’ll work across the Christchurch campus delivering patient-centred care in a dynamic multidisciplinary team with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current APC and NZ registration is required.
• Experience in health/social care settings preferred.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Psychosocial assessment, monitoring and support across the service.
• Attend and participate in social work team and staff meetings.
• Provide cover to the 24h social work service on a rostered basis.
• Contribute to service development and quality initiatives.
