Compass Group New Zealand is seeking an experienced Cook to join our Timaru Hospital team in a permanent part-time role. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 17 hours per week and may take on additional casual shifts to meet business needs.

You will prepare, cook and serve quality meals while upholding food safety and presentation standards. This role offers training, career opportunities and the chance to be part of New Zealand's leading food services provider, with a supportive team and a focus

Formación

• Previous cooking experience in a similar commercial or catering environment.
• Food handling or food hygiene training is desirable.
• Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality and professionalism.
• A reliable team player who can also work confidently and independently.
• Good communication skills with a positive, flexible and hardworking attitude.
• Physically fit and committed to safe food handling, hygiene and workplace safety.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook, portion and present quality meals and menu items
• Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meat, seafood, poultry and other food items
• Maintain quality, portion and stock control while helping minimise food waste
• Receive, rotate and store kitchen supplies safely and correctly
• Keep kitchen areas, equipment and workspaces clean, sanitised and well maintained
• Follow food safety, health and safety, hygiene and company procedures at all times
