Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Histology laboratory experience preferred.
• Sound understanding of ISO15189 standards and quality improvement processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a busy team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support histology laboratory duties across the department.
• Contribute to teaching and development of laboratory staff.
• Maintain quality controls and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with pathologists and technical teams to deliver high-quality Histology services.
