Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) is seeking a Recruitment Advisor in Wellington to deliver end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of frontline and specialist roles. You will partner with Hiring Managers, lead assessment centres, and drive workforce planning in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

You will manage recruitment activity, provide expert advice, maintain reporting, and ensure a positive candidate and stakeholder experience.

Qualifications

• End-to-end recruitment in a high-volume environment with stakeholder engagement.
• Experience facilitating assessment centres, interviews and selection processes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and large application volumes.
• Experience with recruitment systems and compliance-focused processes.
• Desirable understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and te reo Māori.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across frontline and specialist roles.
• Coordinate assessment centres and recruitment activities.
• Provide trusted recruitment advice to hiring leaders.
• Maintain recruitment reporting and metrics.
• Travel across recruitment sites as required.
