Job summary

Terra Industrial New Zealand Limited is seeking a Heavy Diesel Technician for our Hornby rebuild facility in Christchurch. The role involves dismantling, inspecting and rebuilding components from premium equipment with a focus on safety and quality, supporting growth within a world-class operation.

You will work on mining and construction gear, using modern testing facilities, with staff training and career development as key benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy diesel engines and component rebuilds.
• Ability to work with engines, driveline and hydraulics.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician with a background in plant and equipment or component rebuilds to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Strip down, inspect and rebuild components from premium equipment
• Use our modern testing facilities to ensure every rebuild meets a high standard
• Work mainly on equipment from the mining and construction industries
• Take ownership of health and safety, job paperwork and admin
• Share ideas to improve how we work and keep raising the bar
• You’ll be based in our state‑of‑the‑art rebuild facility in Hornby, fully kitted out with the tools you need and backed by a supportive, knowledgeable team who genuinely want to see you grow.
