Terra Cat in Christchurch (Terra Industrial New Zealand Limited) is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician for its state-of-the-art Component Rebuild Centre. You will work on engines, driveline and hydraulics, strip down and rebuild components, and ensure quality with advanced testing facilities.

Based in Hornby, you’ll join a team that values safety, thorough documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experienced Heavy Diesel Technician with a background in plant and equipment or component rebuilds.
• Comfortable working on engines, driveline or hydraulics teams in a rebuild environment.
• Committed to health and safety, with good job paperwork and admin discipline.

Responsibilities

• Strip down, inspect and rebuild components from premium equipment.
• Use modern testing facilities to verify rebuilds meet high standards.
• Work mainly on mining and construction equipment and take ownership of safety & paperwork.
