Fulton Hogan in Mt Wellington, Auckland, is seeking an Auto Electrician / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to service heavy vehicles, civil machinery and mobile plant, helping keep our fleet safe, reliable and ready for work. You will diagnose faults, perform servicing and repairs, test electrical systems, batteries and charging, and work closely with other fitters to keep downtime to a minimum.

A relevant trade qualification, 3–5 years' experience and a Class 2 licence are preferred, with a strong safety

Competenze

Relevant trade qualification in automotive electrical engineering or NZQA-recognised equivalent.
3–5 years' hands-on automotive electrical experience, ideally with heavy diesel/plant/mobile equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills using scan tools and reference manuals.

Mansioni

Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, trailers, plant and machinery.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults across fleet and civil equipment.
Test and repair batteries, starters, alternators, charging systems, lighting and warning systems.
Complete breakdown work efficiently to minimise downtime and keep equipment operational.
Work closely with mechanics, supervisors and operators while maintaining accurate job records.
