Job summary

Endura Mining is seeking a Health & Safety Superintendent to lead and develop the HSEC program for its New Zealand operations, including oversight of safety governance, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across all sites.

You will supervise the Safety Advisor and Systems Specialist, manage budgets, and ensure contractor safety and incident investigations meet statutory requirements. A strong NZ mining law background is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven HSE leadership and people-management experience.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand mining law and principal hazards.
• Experience developing, implementing and auditing safety management systems.
• Experience in incident investigations and safety governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site safety governance across surface and underground operations.
• Own the HSEC management and document-control systems coordinating with Systems Specialist.
• Deliver the annual inspection and internal audit programme and coordinate external audits.
• Prepare monthly safety reports with lead and lag indicators for the HSEC Manager and Board.
• Coordinate WorkSafe NZ inspections and responses to notices.
