Job summary

Canstaff is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our specialist consultancy team in Canterbury. This service-focused role blends advisory work with a sales mindset, engaging local businesses on their health and safety journey and visiting client sites daily.

You will develop and implement WHS programs, investigate incidents, and build strong relationships as a trusted subject matter expert in high-risk environments across Christchurch, Timaru, and Ashburton.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety is required.
Experience in various health and safety environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Experience in incident investigation.
Knowledge of high-risk safety environments.
Proficient with CRM systems; presenting and training experience is a plus.
Hold a full, unrestricted NZ driving licence.

Responsibilities

Advise on development and implementation of health and safety programs.
Travel to client sites to assess needs and practices.
Identify opportunities to add value and build relationships as the subject matter expert.
