Citycare Water is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to partner with our operational teams across the Northern Region. Based in East Tamaki, Auckland, the role involves coaching, risk management and building a proactive safety culture, with frequent travel across the North Island.

You will work with senior leaders and frontline staff to identify critical risks, lead ICAM investigations, analyse safety data and support contractor management.

Qualifications

• Significant operational health and safety experience in three waters, construction, infrastructure or maintenance.
• Ability to interpret data and provide performance insights.
• Strong written communication, reporting and presentation skills.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to challenge when needed.
• Excellent relationship-management and business-partnering capability.
• Full Class 1 driver licence.

Responsabilités

• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety leadership and risk ownership.
• Provide coaching and guidance across the region.
• Help identify, assess and manage critical risks.
• Undertake field-based assurance activities and verify critical controls.
• Lead ICAM investigations and prepare investigation reports.
• Analyse safety performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate insights into practical actions for leaders.
• Contribute to safety dashboards and reporting.
• Support contractor management, assessments and audits.
• Deliver training, toolbox talks, inductions and committee discussions.
• Contribute to key safety and wellbeing projects.
• Maintain compliance with legislation and ISO/ACC programmes.
