Job summary

Frog Recruitment is assisting a values-led, not-for-profit organisation to strengthen health, safety and wellbeing across a network of care homes in Aotearoa. This newly created role focuses on ACC and injury management, incident investigations and data-driven improvements to safer outcomes for employees, residents and contractors.

Reporting to the People & Culture team, you will provide practical advice, build capability, and partner with managers to embed consistent health and safety practices

Qualifications

  • Solid health and safety advisory experience with risk management and improving safety systems.
  • Working knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation and WorkSafe guidance.
  • Understanding of ACC and workplace injury management processes.
  • Experience analyzing health and safety data and trends to inform improvements.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing across stakeholders.
  • Multi-site experience; healthcare or aged-care exposure is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ACC cases, injury management and safe, sustainable return-to-work plans.
  • Partner with managers to identify, assess and manage workplace health and safety risks.
  • Strengthen incident and near-miss reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
  • Analyse injury, incident and health and safety trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support Health & Safety Representatives and managers to build capability and confidence.
  • Coordinate wellbeing initiatives and support ongoing wellbeing activities.
  • Keep up to date with health and safety legislation and support appropriate policy and system updates.
  • Provide meaningful health, safety and wellbeing reporting and insights to leaders and governance groups.

Join a values-led, not-for-profit organisation supporting older New Zealanders across a network of care homes. This newly created role is an opportunity to strengthen health, safety and wellbeing practices, build capability and help create safer outcomes for employees, residents and contractors.


Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

Sitting within the People & Culture team, you’ll provide practical health, safety and wellbeing advice and support across a multi-site environment. A key focus will be ACC and injury management, alongside incident and near-miss management, risk management, wellbeing initiatives and reporting. You’ll use data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, working closely with managers and Health & Safety Representatives to turn insights into practical action. As the role develops, you’ll also spend time across care homes, building capability and supporting consistent health and safety practices.
