Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora seeks a Health Promotion Advisor to design, develop and evaluate community health initiatives that address determinants of health and align with Pae Ora priorities.

You will partner with iwi, hapū, local government and communities to promote equity and improve immunisation, screening, smokefree environments, healthy food, physical activity and mental wellbeing across Gisborne and North Island communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in health promotion or community development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with communities and stakeholders.
• Local government engagement and policy development experience.
• Experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
• Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate programmes and projects.
• Understanding of public health approaches and co-design principles.
• Willingness to travel across the local district and region.
• Valid NZ Driver's Licence.
