Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Kaiatawhai / Health Liaison Worker to support whānau across Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough. You will coordinate and advise to improve access to health care, focusing on cervical screening and immunisation with Primary Care and Māori/Pasifika providers.

The role is permanent part-time with flexible hours (0.6–0.9 FTE) and requires strong community ties, cultural awareness, and initiative to advance equitable health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating with whānau, communities, or support services.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, provide support and advice to improve access to health care.
• Improve links and engagement with Primary Care providers, Māori and Pasifika Health providers.
• Facilitate access to cervical screening and immunisation.
