Job summary

Te Tāpui Atawhai Auckland City Mission seeks a Manager Health and Connection to lead the Health & Connection service in Auckland. You will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team and ensure accessible, culturally safe, high‑quality services to tāngata whaiora with complex needs.

The role focuses on Te Tiriti o Waitangi, mentoring staff, delivering contracted outcomes, and driving equity within our Mission community. We value growth and a values‑led approach.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in health, social work, addiction, mental health, management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Capacity to demonstrate commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Mission values.
• Significant proven people leadership and management experience in health, social services or related field.
• Strong operational skills to translate strategy into day-to-day service delivery.
• Ability to use data and feedback to monitor performance and inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of Health & Connection in line with the service model, contracts, and Mission strategy.
• Build a strong multidisciplinary culture that respects and integrates diverse disciplines, lived experience, and expertise.
• Lead, guide, coordinate, and support frontline staff and the wider Health & Connection team.
• Maintain effective systems for referrals, triage, allocation, engagement, caseloads, multidisciplinary review, transitions, and service exit.
• Oversee service deliverables and ensure contractual requirements are understood and applied in practice.
