About the Role

About the Role Health Care Assistants play an important part inpatients cares, within Ward 6 East at Wellington Regional Hospital. As thesuccessful applicant you'll have the ability to communicate effectively andprioritise tasks appropriately under the delegation of a Registered Nurse.You'll assist the nursing staff and patients withactivities of daily living. You will be tasked with the restocking of clinicalsupplies and maintaining a clean environment. You will also be tasked withpatient observation and engagement. If you're an energetic and motivatedperson with good communication skills and have NZQA Level 3 in Health andWellbeing (or equivalent), we want to hear from you.

About the Team/Service/Location

About theTeam/Service/ Location GeneralMedicine is the largest inpatient service and provides assessment, diagnosis,stabilisation, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients who present acutelyfor urgent medical conditions. General Medicine covers multiple departmentswith Ward 6 East being one of them. Ward 6 East provides 24 hours, 7 days aweek services that focuses on timely assessment, diagnosis and acute treatmentplanning of patients with a wide range of medical conditions. All of thepatients admitted into this area benefit from a model of care that focuses onreducing hospital harm, improving function and facilitating good healthoutcomes.

About you

About you Compassionate, proactive, andreliable with a strong commitment to high-quality patient support and dignityin daily cares.Experience in implementing Te Tiritio Waitangi in action.Maintains clean, organizedenvironments and stays attentive to clinical supply needs.Excellent observation andcommunication skills, engaging meaningfully to enhance the patient careexperience. Havethe legal right to work in New Zealand, and hold a current work/residence visa.Level 3 NZQA National Certificate inHealth and Wellbeing (or equivalent qualification)
