Job summary

Find Recruitment is exclusively partnering with our client, a specialist financial services organisation, to appoint a Head of Treasury to lead the Treasury function across New Zealand and Australia.

Reporting to the Group CFO, you will shape Treasury strategy, strengthen balance sheet performance and partner with ALCO, Board and external agencies, while mentoring a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in treasury operations, liquidity and balance sheet management.
• Strong governance, policy, controls and risk framework knowledge.
• Proven leadership to mentor a high-performing treasury team.
• Ability to influence at CFO/ALCO/Board level.
• Experience with funding structures, securitisation, warehouse facilities.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing the Group’s Treasury strategy, leading Treasury input into ALCO, executive and Board decision-making.
• Lead and develop a capable, high-performing Treasury team while partnering with the business and external agencies.
• Optimising liquidity, funding capacity, capital efficiency oversee cash forecasting, Treasury operations, reporting, interest rate and FX, leading stress testing, scenario modelling and balance sheet analysis.
• Partnering with business leaders on pricing, cost of funds and commercial decisions while supporting securitisation programmes, warehouse facilities and funding structures.
• Monitor the financial markets and advise on implications for liquidity and funding.
• With a continuous mindset, you will be able to make recommendations on any improvements on treasury systems, data, automation and operational processes.

Find Recruitment are exclusively partnering with our client, a specialist financial services organisation, in the search for a Head of Treasury to lead the Treasury function operating across New Zealand and Australia.

Reporting to the Group CFO, the Head of Treasury will play a central role in shaping Treasury strategy, strengthening balance sheet performance and supporting the organisation’s continued growth.

This is a broad and influential role for someone who can combine strong technical Treasury expertise with commercial thinking and stakeholder influence.

The role
You will be responsible for:

What you will bring

• You will be from Banking or a large Corporate or lending / financial services, with the ability to partner with the business, the CFO, ALCO and Board-level stakeholders.
• Strong experience across Treasury operations, liquidity and balance sheet management and a sound understanding of Treasury governance, policies, controls and risk frameworks
• Leading a team, you will be able to mentor and develop others. Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills
