Job summary

Blue Mountain College is a small rural school situated at the foot of the Blue Mountains in West Otago. We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our dedicated teaching staff in a middle management role. The role involves the oversight of the Health and Physical Education curriculum from Years 7 to 13.

The position is a full-time permanent role commencing Term 1 2027, with 2 permanent MU and 1 permanent MMA. School housing may be available to successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be well organised and able to manage multiple curriculum elements.
• Strong understanding of the Health and Physical Education curriculum and its assessment.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities within an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Health and Physical Education curriculum for Years 7–13.
• Provide middle-management leadership within the school.
• Foster an inclusive and friendly learning environment across a rural school community.
