Job summary

Macleans College in Auckland seeks an experienced leader to head the Commerce Department from Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will drive curriculum knowledge, support explicit instruction and a knowledge-rich approach, and contribute to student achievement across Years 9–13.

Applicants must be certificated, registered in New Zealand, and prepared to engage in our fast-paced environment and extra-curricular programme. Cambridge International Examinations knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong commerce curriculum knowledge and experience teaching across Years 9–13.
• Commitment to evidence-based learning pedagogy with explicit instruction within a knowledge-rich curriculum.
• Working knowledge of Cambridge International Examinations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Commerce Department from Term 1, 2027.

Macleans College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic leader to lead our commerce department from Term 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will have strong commerce curriculum knowledge and experience teaching across Years 9–13. A commitment to evidence-based learning pedagogy, focussing on explicit instruction within a knowledge rich curriculum is expected. A working knowledge of Cambridge International Examinations is an advantage. Please state your specialist teaching subject.
