Pakūranga College is a large, coeducational secondary school in East Auckland with 2,400+ students and a dynamic English faculty. We are seeking a passionate and skilled teacher of English and Media Studies to join our vibrant team.

The successful candidate will have classroom English experience across year levels and willingness to support diverse English pathways, digital learning, and co-curricular life while upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Qualifications

• NZ Curriculum knowledge across English and Media Studies.
• Experience teaching across years 7–15 and diverse abilities.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive education.
• Ability to engage diverse learners and support innovative literacy pathways.

Pakūranga College is a large (2,400+ students), coeducational, culturally diverse secondary school located in East Auckland.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled teacher of English and Media Studies to join our vibrant and well-established English faculty.

Pakūranga College has a collaborative and dynamic English faculty that focuses on building critical thinking and literacy skills in all students.

The successful candidate will have experience in classroom English teaching across a range of year levels and abilities, and a willingness to support a variety of English pathways.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum in English and Media Studies
• Enthusiasm for contributing to and developing innovative literacy pathways
• The ability to connect with and inspire a diverse range of learners
• Be willing to embrace our digital learning environment and to contribute to the active co-curricular life of the school.
