Job summary

Otago Regional Council invites applications for a Manager Environmental Delivery Data and Systems. You will lead the Regulatory Data and Systems team, shaping how environmental data, reporting, and consent information are collected, stored, and used to support regulatory activities across Otago.

This senior role requires strategic leadership, strong stakeholder engagement, and a track record of delivering improvement in data systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Science or Information Science.
• Experience managing data and databases.
• Leadership experience managing teams.
• Experience in local government.
• Experience with process improvement and systems enhancements.
• Experience collecting and analysing environmental data.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Regulatory Data and Systems team.
• Ensure data quality and integrity of environmental and regulatory data.
• Provide expert advice to support planning and regulatory activities.
• Build relationships with stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting.
• Monitor resource consent data and conditions.
