Job summary

Indevin in New Zealand is seeking a senior leader to head Category & Insights, linking data, analytics and portfolio thinking to sharpen commercial decisions and strengthen customer partnerships.

Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will shape category strategy, build analytics capability including AI opportunities, and partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance and ELT to drive growth globally.

Qualifications

• Proven senior category, insights, strategy or commercial leadership experience within FMCG, CPG, retail or consumer businesses.
• Strong track record translating data, research and insight into commercial strategy and growth.
• Deep understanding of category management, customer strategy and portfolio optimization
• Experience operating across complex or international markets, with global exposure highly valued
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect insight to revenue, margin and investment decisions
• Forward thinking approach to data, analytics, technology and emerging AI capabilities
• Executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge thinking constructively
• Hands on and adaptable leadership style, comfortable building capability while delivering outcomes

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategy and translate insight into clear commercial priorities
• Build Indevin’s insight and analytics capability, including emerging AI opportunities
• Translate data and market intelligence into actionable customer and category plans
• Support portfolio, innovation and commercial decisions through robust insight
• Strengthen category capability and become a strategic partner to key customers
• Build strong relationships across Sales, Marketing, Finance and the wider ELT
