Mt Maunganui Milling is seeking an experienced Head Miller to lead milling operations at the Mount Maunganui site on a permanent full-time basis. You will drive technical performance, improve mill yield and quality, and provide leadership across operations.

The role requires 5–10 years in milling, supervisory experience, NABIM qualification, and a related engineering or food science diploma. You will develop training for operators and collaborate with procurement to optimise grain handling.

Competenze

• Minimum 5-10 years of commercial milling experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years in a supervisory/technical milling role, ideally having managed multiple milling sites at a national level.
• Operations Management or Graduate from an internationally recognised milling school (Preferred).
• National Association of British & Irish Millers (NABIM) qualification.
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related Food Science field.
• Sound food industry knowledge.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot existing mill flows for the purpose of optimisation.
• Ability to create and modify CAD drawings of mill layouts, equipment components and flow sheets.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and teach others milling machinery mechanics, operation and maintenance.

Mansioni

• Ensure maximum yield with highest throughput while in spec product, RFT and OEE.
• Propose technological and efficiency improvements to site operations.
• Contribute to a strategically developed capital plan.
• Develop an operator training curriculum with a schedule to promote career paths to shift miller or milling supervisor.
• Improve management of grain grist to reduce costs in collaboration with procurement.
• Assist and manage quality, food safety and occupational health and safety systems.
