Job summary

PAE in Papakura is seeking a Trades Assistant to support maintenance across facilities and infrastructure. You'll work with skilled tradespeople delivering planned and reactive tasks, ensuring environments remain safe, operational, and well-maintained.

You will assist with labouring, preventative programs, HVAC tasks, and keep tools and records up to date. The role suits hands-on individuals with a proactive approach who can work independently in a busy team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance or trades assistant role.
• Ability to safely perform physical work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• NZ driver's licence and ability to obtain security clearances.
• Willingness to learn and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades personnel with planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Undertake labouring and general maintenance support.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes.
• Assist with routine HVAC maintenance tasks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
• Update work orders using work management systems.
