Job summary

Rooney Earthmoving Ltd in Timaru is seeking a hands-on Project Manager with a strong earthmoving or roading background to lead civil projects locally.

You will plan tasks, set out surveys, manage a team and equipment, drive safety and QA, and work closely with clients on landmark NZ projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on earthmoving or roading background with leadership skills.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating resources on civil projects.
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices and QA testing.
• Capable of following plans, set-out, and delivering outputs.

Responsibilities

A Project Manager with Rooney Earthmoving Ltd has a hands-on earthmoving or roading background with leadership skills that complement their team. They will work alongside a civil team to plan tasks and work methodology, achieving the contract targets. They will have personal attributes that include:

• Capable of running a team of workers and a fleet of equipment.
• Experienced on production outputs of a range of civil earthmoving machines and equipment.
• A proven skill of following plan design, survey setout and QA testing.
• Skilled at health and safety practices including knowing how to keep a team safe.
