Job summary

MOVe Logistics seeks a commercially astute General Manager for its Specialist Lifting & Transport division, combining heavy-haulage expertise with strong financial leadership. You’ll set strategy, lead the executive team and drive growth across New Zealand projects.You’ll balance hands-on leadership with long-term planning, safeguard safety, and build trusted relationships with customers and staff while steering the business to new opportunities within the MOVe Group.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership with responsibility for operational and financial performance.
• Strong commercial capability including P&L, business development and growth delivery.
• Experience leading operational teams in asset-intensive or project-based environments.
• Sound understanding of health and safety, risk management and compliance.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership within a corporate group.

Responsibilities

• Developing the strategy, business and operational plans to deliver financial targets.
• Leading, developing and supporting the operations team across the division.
• Strengthening customer relationships and securing new projects for sustainable growth.
• Overseeing major projects to ensure safe, efficient and profitable delivery.
• Planning investment in specialist fleet and equipment for future needs.
• Collaborating with the CEO and MOVe Group on strategy, reporting and performance.
• Championing a safety-first culture with engagement and accountability.
