Job summary

Motion NZ is moving into a brand-new Distribution Centre and seeks a DC Manager to lead the growth phase. You will establish a performance-driven culture, develop the team across warehouse, inventory and administration, and implement robust systems and processes to support scaling nationwide.

You will partner with Branch Teams, Sales and Health & Safety stakeholders, manage budgets and drive continuous improvement while ensuring NZ H&S compliance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced DC environment.
• Proven ability to build culture and develop individuals.
• Experience implementing systems, processes and best practice.
• Strong WMS and ERP systems capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety leadership.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Build a high-performing, values-led culture across the growing team.
• Coach, develop and grow capability across warehouse, inventory, dispatch and administration.
• Implement fit-for-purpose systems, processes and operating rhythms to support continued scaling.
• Partner closely with Branch Teams, Sales, Product Managers and Health & Safety stakeholders.
• Own DC operating budgets, cost control and site facilities.
• Drive inventory accuracy, cycle counting and stock integrity.
• Benchmark performance against industry best practice, embedding continuous improvement.
• Champion safety leadership and full compliance with NZ H&S legislation.
