Job summary

PAK’nSAVE Mill Street in Hamilton is seeking a Grocery Associate to help maintain store standards, assist customers and support stock control. This role suits someone who values teamwork, physical work, and provides a friendly shopping experience.

You will contribute to stock replenishment, shelf presentation and customer help, with a focus on food safety, cleanliness and efficient store operations. Training and competitive pay are offered.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily Grocery Associate tasks and assist customers.
• Bring stock from storeroom as required.
• Fill shelves and face them neatly with minimal disruption.
• Ensure displays are stocked and well presented.
• Assist customers and guide them to products when needed.
• Manage out-of-stock items and rotate stock appropriately.
• Practice self-management and time management skills.
• Keep aisles clear and free of rubbish or blockages.
• Undertake housekeeping tasks (sweeping, spillages, cleaning shelves).
• Perform other tasks across the store as required.

Reporting to the Dry Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

• Complete the tasks of a Grocery Associate, including (but not limited to):
• Bringing stock from the storeroom as required
• Filling shelves and facing up appropriately with minimal disruption to customers
• Making sure the displays/shelves are appropriately stocked and well presented
• Helping and assisting customers with their enquiries and taking them to the product when required
• Out of Stock management
• Have the ability to self-manage and have good time management skills
• Ensuring stock rotation is adhered to
• Ensuring the aisles are kept clear of rubbish and blockages at all times allowing for clear customer access
• Undertaking additional housekeeping as required (e.g. sweeping the floors, dealing with spillages and breakages, cleaning shelves etc.)
• Other tasks across the store as required
