Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island is seeking a Dry Goods Assistant in Ashburton for the Grocery team. The role focuses on stocking shelves, presenting displays, and delivering friendly customer service with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts run Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00am to 9:00am, totaling 20 hours per week. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand. Training will be provided to support stock management and online order picking as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, supermarket, or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring our shelves are well stocked, displays are presented to a high standard, and customers receive friendly, efficient service. You'll play an important part in maintaining stock levels, rotating stock, merchandising displays, and helping deliver the excellent shopping experience our customers expect. The role will also involve assisting with online order picking when required to support the wider store operation.
