Redfire, an independent brand strategy and design agency in Mt Eden, Auckland, offers a paid internship to work on real client projects with mentoring from senior designers and a founder with 26 years in brand strategy.

You’ll design and format websites on Shopify/WordPress, create digital assets, and use Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud daily, with a small, collaborative team in a prime creative neighbourhood.

Formación

• Some hands-on experience in digital design, especially web layouts and formatting.
• A portfolio, even a small one, that shows how you think as well as how you design.
• An eye for detail and the willingness to ask questions when you’re unsure.

Responsabilidades

• Designing and formatting layouts for websites built on Shopify and WordPress
• Producing digital assets: social content, animated graphics and ads
• Working in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) every day
• Supporting our designers on brand identity, packaging and campaign projects
• Sitting in on briefings and creative reviews, so you see how strategy turns into design

Most design internships give you a desk and a pile of resizing. Ours gives you a seat at the table on live client work, alongside a team that has been building brands out of Auckland since 2000.

Redfire is an independent brand strategy and design agency based at The Steelworks in Mt Eden. We work with ambitious, challenger brands across FMCG, food and beverage, health and wellness, beauty, tourism and professional services, in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Clients include Air Tahiti Nui, Everee, Carroll’s Logistics and Sanitarium.

Our purpose is simple: to do good, better. That applies to the work, and to how we look after the people who make it.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and formatting layouts for websites built on Shopify and WordPress
• Producing digital assets: social content, animated graphics and ads
• Working in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) every day
• Supporting our designers on brand identity, packaging and campaign projects

What we’re looking for

• Confident with Figma and the Adobe suite
• A portfolio, even a small one, that shows how you think as well as how you design
• An eye for detail and the willingness to ask questions when you’re unsure
• You’re based in Auckland and can work in our Mt Eden studio
• You have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• You’re available from as soon as possible through to Friday 18 December 2026
