Job summary

Coterra is seeking a Surveyor to join our Cromwell team in Central Otago, New Zealand. The role covers the full project lifecycle from initial survey and investigation through to resource consent, design, construction set-out and cadastral survey.

We welcome graduates with a Bachelor of Surveying and practical experience; applicants with 12d, Landonline, Leica gear or DJI UAVs are encouraged. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and have opportunities to progress professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Strong practical surveying experience desirable.
• Knowledge of NZ cadastral and land development practice is advantageous.

About the role

Coterra is looking for a Surveyor to join our Cromwell team.

We are particularlyinterested in a strong graduate who can demonstrate ability, initiative and apractical approach. We are also open to someone with solid experience who isready to take ownership of their work, contribute across a range of projects andcontinue developing professionally.

This is a varied role withinvolvement across the full project lifecycle, from initial survey andinvestigation through to resource consent, design, construction, cadastralsurvey and completion. The work includes cadastral, topographic and engineeringsurveying, construction set-out and monitoring, subdivision and resourceconsent work, and cadastral survey and Landonline work.

About you

Ideally, you will have a Bachelor of Surveying or another relevant surveyingqualification, although we are also interested in applicants with goodpractical surveying experience.

You will have a soundtechnical foundation, a practical approach and good communication skills.Experience with field and office surveying, 12d, Landonline, Leica equipment orDJI UAVs would all be useful, but are not essential.

You do not need to be aLicensed Cadastral Surveyor. If cadastral licensing is part of your careerpath, we can provide experience and support as you work towards it.

Relevant New Zealandsurveying experience or familiarity with New Zealand cadastral and landdevelopment practice would be highly regarded.
