Job summary

Wilson Contractors is seeking a Graduate / Junior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of a wide range of civil construction projects in Queenstown. You will work alongside our Regional Manager and Senior Engineers, gaining hands-on experience across project management, health & safety, quality assurance, and onsite delivery.

This full-time permanent role offers a pathway to develop technical and leadership capabilities within a supportive, high-performing team in the Queenstown/Central Otago

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or junior civil engineer seeking hands-on experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, quality, and budget expectations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day project management and administration.
• Assist with job costing, monthly claims, and project documentation.
• Contribute to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) planning and compliance.
• Monitor project progress, profitability, and delivery timeframes.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure works meet design, specifications and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
