Job summary

CMW Geosciences is hiring Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geologist graduates for roles in Tauranga with June 2026 and January 2027 start dates. You will join a hands-on, field-based graduate program that emphasizes field testing, logging, and reporting, with mentorship from senior staff and exposure to the full project lifecycle from day one.

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree is required.
• Ability to complete strenuous fieldwork tasks.
• Ability to travel when required.
• A full New Zealand or Australian driver's license.
• A desire to work outside with rocks, soil and geology.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Go to site to complete manual field work tasks and testing.
• Process logs and soil samples, write technical reports.
• Assist project managers with deliverables.
• Support diverse projects across locations, including Rotorua, Queensland, and Perth.
