Job summary

Datacom is offering a Graduate / Trainee Build Engineer role in New Zealand. You will gain hands-on experience supporting, building, and troubleshooting technology used by customers, with no prior IT experience required.

You’ll work with teams to set up devices, diagnose issues, and learn Windows, Microsoft 365, and device management tools while developing essential IT skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure and prepare laptops, desktops and devices.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Support device repairs and other technical requests.
• Learn Windows, Microsoft 365 and device management tools.
• Develop understanding of PCs, servers and networking.
• Communicate with customers to understand technical problems.
• Follow processes and keep accurate records of work.
• Work safely and collaboratively as part of the team.
