Westpac New Zealand is seeking a senior leader to own the High Value and International Payments domain, shaping strategy, payment rails, industry standards and operating frameworks to stay effective, compliant and resilient.

You will represent Westpac in industry and regulatory forums, engage regulators and ecosystem participants, and partner with Product, Digital, Technology, Risk and Operations to enable growth and responsible change.

Qualifications

• Experience leading high-value payments, transaction banking, international payments or SWIFT.
• Strong understanding of high-value and cross-border payment methods and settlement.
• Knowledge of payment-system rules, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience engaging regulators, industry bodies and external stakeholders.
• Experience shaping organisational positions on industry change or policy initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across business, technology, risk and legal.

Responsabilités

• Lead Westpac New Zealand’s High Value and International Payments domain, ensuring resilience and regulatory alignment.
• Own strategic position, rails, standards and operating frameworks for high-value domestic and international payments.
• Represent Westpac in industry forums and regulatory discussions to shape future standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of payment capabilities and controls.
• Partner with Product, Digital, Technology, Risk and Operations to enable growth and responsible change.
