Lead the crew. Run the jobs. Get things done.
We're looking for an experienced Glazing Manager who knows the trade, can lead a good crew and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed.
Based in Palmerston North, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, running a busy operation and making sure jobs are done right, on time and to a high standard.
You'll be leading a skilled team of glaziers and apprentices, keeping jobs moving, customers happy and the branch running smoothly. It's a busy operation, so you'll need to be organised, think on your feet and know how to juggle competing priorities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, supporting and getting the best out of your glazing crew
- Planning jobs, organising labour and keeping installations on track
- Making sure work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard
- Getting out on site, sorting problems and providing technical support when needed
- Working closely with builders, customers and suppliers
- Keeping on top of materials, stock, costs and job profitability
- Making sure customers are kept in the loop – no chasing us for updates!
- Looking for smarter ways to work and keeping the team running efficiently
What You'll Bring
We're after someone who knows glazing inside out, can lead from the front and takes pride in a job well done.
- At least 5 years' experience in glazing mangement or glazing project management.
- Solid technical knowledge of glazing systems, including frameless showers and ballustrades. You undertand installation methods that are compliant with industry standards and be able to apply your knowledge to find design solutions when required.
- Experience running multiple jobs, sites and teams at once.
- Confidence reading plans, drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong planning skills and the ability to keep a busy crew organised.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach – you sort problems, not create them.
- Good people skills and the ability to build respect with your team, customers and contractors.
- A strong focus on safety, quality and getting things right the first time.
- A customer-first attitude and pride in delivering great service.
A construction or project management qualification would be a bonus, but solid trade experience and proven leadership skills are what really count.
What's In It For You?
- Competitive salary + company vehicle + uniform
- Take charge of an established, busy glazing operation
- Lead a skilled, hardworking crew who know their stuff
- Plenty of variety - no two days are the same
- Career development opportunities with a well-established NZ company.
applications close 25th October 2026.
