Genesis in New Zealand is seeking a hands-on GIS professional to develop, maintain, and manage geospatial datasets, feature layers and mapping products across projects. You will apply spatial analysis to inform planning and property decisions, and build web maps and GIS applications using ArcGIS platforms.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners, and environmental teams while communicating complex spatial information to non-GIS colleagues.

Competenze

• Demonstrated experience with GIS analysis, mapping and spatial data management.
• Strong hands-on capability with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise; ArcGIS Online experience is highly valued.
• Experience developing and maintaining web maps, GIS applications and feature layers.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in GIS, geography, geospatial science, environmental science, planning, engineering or a related discipline.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, maintain and manage geospatial datasets, feature layers and mapping products across development projects
• Use spatial analysis to identify opportunities, constraints, risks and impacts that inform project planning and property decisions
• Build and maintain web maps, GIS applications and ArcGIS Enterprise content that make spatial information easy to access and use

What You’ll Need

You’ll be a hands-on GIS professional who is comfortable working independently and translating technical spatial information for people outside the GIS discipline. You’ll combine strong technical capability with accuracy, practical problem-solving and a collaborative approach.
