Northcross Intermediate is seeking an energetic general science teacher for Years 7–8 for the 2027 academic year. You will design and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons and weave science across the curriculum.

About the role

Northcross Intermediate is seeking an energetic and passionate general science teacher to join our dynamic team for the 2027 academic year. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in promoting science across the curriculum, inspiring Year 7 and 8 students to explore, question, and understand the world around them through hands-on, inquiry-based learning.

As our science champion, you will design and deliver engaging practical lessons, integrate science seamlessly into broader curriculum topics, and collaborate with a supportive, innovative teaching team, working alongside our specialist team. We are looking for a NZ-registered teacher who thrives working with emerging adolescents, demonstrates strong pedagogical knowledge in general science, and creates an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe and empowered to investigate.
