Job summary

HealthForce NZ by ProCare is seeking a General Practitioner to join a rural New Zealand community. You will work across a diverse caseload in general practice, minor surgery, travel medicine, women’s health, diabetes, and occupational health with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The role offers a well-established clinic, relocation support, and teaching opportunities. FTE negotiable with part or full-time options to fit your lifestyle while delivering culturally safe care.

Qualifications

• Hold current registration with the Medical Council of NZ and a current Annual Practising Certificate, ideally FRNCGP or working towards this.
• An interest in rural and community-based medicine.
• Ability to work both autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient centred approach.
• Commitment to continuity of care and building long term patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a rural/community setting with a diverse caseload.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Deliver high quality, culturally safe care to the local community.
• Contribute to ongoing teaching and learning within the clinic.

Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of practitioners across a diverse caseload of patients. You will have the opportunity to work across general practice, minor surgery, travel medicine, women's health, diabetes, occupational health and more.
The team consists of GPs, Nurse Practitioner and prescriber, nurses, administrators, HIPS, Health Coach, Pharmacists and telemedicine providers.
