Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a senior maintenance and compliance lead to oversee a large bus fleet across North Island workshop sites. You will direct experienced workshop managers to ensure fleet safety and high uptime seven days a week.

You’ll apply your mechanical engineering background and multi-site leadership to align maintenance with safety standards, with a focus on transitioning to a new asset management system and strong partnerships with operations.

Qualifications

• Trained mechanical/automotive/heavy vehicle engineer with multi-site fleet maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet maintenance across Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.
• Balance planned and reactive maintenance, in-house vs outsourced work.
• Lead transitions to a new asset management system across all sites.
• Build strong partnerships with operations as the primary internal customer.

The Opportunity | Te Āheinga

Following an internal move, you'll lead maintenance and compliance across multiple workshop sites in the North Island, directing experienced workshop managers to keep a large bus fleet safe and operational seven days a week.

Your key accountabilities:

• Fleet availability and peak vehicle requirements across Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.
• Balancing planned and reactive maintenance, and in-house versus outsourced work.
• Building strong partnerships with the operations team, your key internal customer.
• Leading the transition to a new asset management system across all sites.

About You | Māu

You're a trained engineer in mechanical, automotive or heavy vehicle disciplines, with proven experience managing fleet maintenance operations across multiple sites.
