Job summary

SkyCity is seeking an exceptional finance leader to join the Executive Finance team as GM Business Performance in New Zealand. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting, acting as the principal finance partner to the NZ COO and senior leaders.

This influential role partners across business units, guiding strategic insight, rigorous analysis and recommendations to maximise performance and optimise resources, including capex and opex decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive FP&A and commercial finance experience.
• Experience partnering with C-suite and senior leadership.
• Proven leadership of finance teams across multi-site operations.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and business case development.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting and budgeting for SkyCity New Zealand.
• Provide performance reporting and commercial decision support to leadership.
• Partner with the COO and executive teams to shape decisions that drive performance.
• Manage and develop the finance business partner team.
• Oversee operating expenditure and capital investment programmes.

SkyCity is one of New Zealand's leading entertainment, hospitality and gaming businesses, and we're looking for an exceptional finance leader to join our Executive Finance team.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the GM Business Performance will lead SkyCity New Zealand's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting and commercial decision support functions. This role serves as the principal finance partner to the New Zealand Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership teams, helping shape decisions that drive business performance and long-term success.

This is a highly influential leadership position with responsibility for partnering across multiple business units. Leading a team of finance business partners and business performance professionals, you'll provide strategic insight, rigorous analysis and actionable recommendations that maximise financial performance, optimise resource allocation and support delivery of SkyCity's strategic objectives. You'll be responsible for supporting decisions across operating expenditure and capital investment programmes.

We're seeking a commercially minded finance leader who combines analytical rigour with the ability to influence and partner at executive level.

You'll bring:

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• Extensive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering or finance leadership roles
• Experience supporting large, complex and multi-site operations
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and business case development expertise
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
• The ability to challenge constructively while building trusted relationships across the business
