Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty in Masterton is seeking an experienced Machinist / General Engineer to join a busy engineering workshop. This hands-on role covers manual machining, fabrication, fitting, maintenance, and general engineering tasks across a variety of projects for local industries.

You will operate manual lathes and milling machines, read engineering drawings, and perform welding/fabrication when needed, supporting a safe, productive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as machinist, fitter, turner or general engineer.
• Competent operating manual lathes and milling machines.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Welding and fabrication experience advantageous.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety in their work and has experience across manual machining, fabrication, fitting, maintenance, and general engineering tasks. No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity for someone with a broad engineering skillset.

The Role
