Job summary

Ross Intermediate in Palmerston North invites applications for a Certificated teacher to lead learning for Years 1–8. The role focuses on engaging students through varied subjects within the New Zealand curriculum and fostering positive relationships.

We seek a dedicated, empathetic educator who is passionate about young adolescents, ready to contribute to extracurricular activities and strong school community involvement. Term 1 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher qualification required for primary/intermediate settings.
• Ability to teach across Years 1–8 with a strong understanding of adolescent learning.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and developing student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 1–8 in the primary/intermediate setting.
• Create engaging, student-centred lesson plans aligned to NZ curriculum.
• Support extracurricular activities and collaborate with staff and families.
