Job summary

Petdirect is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant to join the Outwards team in Avondale, Auckland. The role focuses on picking, packing and dispatching customer orders with speed and accuracy, using RF scanners and maintaining stock control.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) on a Sunday to Thursday roster, with opportunities for growth, training, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

Our business is growing, and so is our team - this means we need All Paws In! We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and committed Warehouse Assistant who can work on a Sunday to Thursday roster, with pick/pack and RF scanning experience, to join our Outwards team in Avondale, Auckland.

This role focuses on picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders with speed, accuracy, and care. You’ll help make sure our pet parents receive the right products on time, every time. This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours per week, Sunday 7am-3.30pm and Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick/Pack Operations: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• RF Scanning: Use RF scanners to ensure accuracy in order selection and stock movement.
• Dispatch & Shipping: Ensure orders are packed safely and efficiently, ready for courier or freight collection.
• Stock Handling: Assist with replenishment, inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Outwards team and wider warehouse PetSters to achieve daily targets.
• Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Flexibility: Support other warehouse functions when required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

We are looking for PetSters who:

• Have RF scanning experience in a warehouse environment.
• Have proven pick/pack experience with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Are reliable, punctual, and committed to their shifts.
• Are physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs safely.
• Have a strong work ethic and practical common sense.
• Show initiative and are not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Communicate clearly and are team players who run with the pack.
• Are flexible and open to working in a seven-day business.
• Have a driver’s license and transportation to get to and from work easily.
