Job summary

Bayonet in Tauranga is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to manufacture wire and underlay products for rural and construction sectors. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $28–$32 per hour, plus overtime rates and shift allowances, and on-the-job training.

Located in Tauriko, Tauranga, NZ, NZ work rights are required. You will operate production machinery, assist with set-ups, perform pre-start checks, thread wire coils, maintain quality, and support the

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation is preferred (1 year).
• Basic maths and English required.
• Mechanically minded with understanding of production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and turn raw materials into finished products.
• Assist with machine set-ups and changeovers.
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance.
• Organise wire coils and ensure neat finished products.
• Report safety incidents and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Support distribution team when needed.
