Job summary

Zohorecruit in Wellington, New Zealand is seeking a diligent Insurance Support Officer to assist a broker with portfolio management and client query resolution across Domestic and Commercial cover.

You will process renewals, endorsements and cancellations, set up new policies, manage finance agreements, and support the senior broker to meet monthly targets while identifying cross-selling opportunities. Health benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 5 National Qualification (or working towards).
• Insurance Industry experience.
• Strong understanding of Swift and its modules (versioning, finance, etc.).
• Good understanding of loading all policy types.
• Assist senior broker with administrative tasks and client service.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client queries on their commercial fire and general insurance.
• Investigate client accounts to ensure appropriate policies and set fees.
• Check domestic cover types and adjust as needed.
• Process renewals, endorsements and cancellations efficiently.
• Process renewals, new business, alterations and cancellations.
• Set up new policies and process finance agreements for monthly payments.
• Work with the commercial broker to achieve monthly targets.
• Cross-sell opportunities and maintain client communication.
• Provide reliable advice in the broker's absence.
• Review processes to optimise efficiencies.

Provide support for the broker in the management of their portfolio by effective client query resolution and provision of insurance support in all key aspects of their work. Assist with the resolution of client queries on Domestic and Commercial cover, and account queries. Provide assistance to the senior commercial broker with any administrative and business functions as required.

• Resolve client queries on their commercial fire & general insurance
• Investigate client accounts to ascertain whether the policy is the right one for the clients. Set fee level within approved discretionary guidelines
• Check the correct type of domestic cover and level of cover for the client and amend as appropriate
• Efficient and accurate processing of domestic insurance renewals, endorsements, and cancellations
• Process renewals, new business, alterations and cancellations
• Set up new policies, process finance agreements for policies that are paid monthly, send out proposals and follow-up as necessary
• Work in with the commercial broker to achieve monthly targets
• Active cross-selling, recognising and sharing new opportunities
• Maintain strong communication, with the clients and provide competent and reliable advice in the absence of the broker from the office
• Consistent review of processes to optimise efficiencies.
