Job summary

GoFibre is hiring an FTTP Install Engineer to connect homes and businesses to our full fibre network. You will install, test and document professional FTTP installations, often outdoors, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on fibre installation experience, splicing, OTDR testing and the ability to work on overhead and underground networks while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on FTTP fibre installation experience.
• Proven fibre splicing and testing know-how.
• Experience with overhead and underground network installation.
• Familiar with OTDR and fibre testing equipment.
• Height work awareness and safety focus.
• Strong fault-finding and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission FTTP broadband services.
• Do fibre cabling, blowing, splicing and termination.

• Maintain Health & Safety standards at all times.

What you’ll be doing

As an FTTP Install Engineer, you'll play a key role in connecting homes and businesses to GoFibre's full fibre network. Working independently and alongside colleagues, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, professional and high-quality installations from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and commissioning FTTP broadband services
• Fibre cabling, blowing, splicing and termination activities
• Testing and fault-finding using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Working on overhead and underground PIA networks
• Completing site surveys and installation documentation
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards at all times
• Delivering an exceptional customer experience during every visit
• Ensuring all work is completed to company and industry standards

What we’re looking for

We're looking for someone who already has hands-on experience within fibre installation and can confidently work in both customer-facing and network environments.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience working on FTTP networks
• Fibre splicing and testing experience
• Knowledge of overhead and underground network installation
• Experience using OTDR and fibre testing equipment
• Working at Height experience
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Great communication and customer service skills
