Job summary

Snowflake Inc. is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for its Frontier Engineering team. You will build enterprise-grade AI solutions using Snowpark, Cortex, and native LLM capabilities, and partner with customer teams to solve complex business problems at scale.

You will own end-to-end delivery, define quality metrics, and ensure safe, reliable AI deployments, while collaborating with Snowflake product and engineering teams and traveling to strategic customers up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proven experience building applications using LLMs, especially with RAG and agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience defining quality metrics and running evaluations for LLM/agent systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to explain complex concepts.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced Generative AI environments.

Responsibilities

• Build customer solutions: architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions including sophisticated AI agents.
• Own the quality of what you ship: define metrics and evaluation frameworks; ensure accuracy, safety, and faithfulness.
• Deliver with velocity: design, iterate, and ship high-quality code and data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Productionize AI at scale: manage end-to-end lifecycle, observability, and safety in production.
• Be a technical partner: work with customer data science and engineering teams as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate to innovate: partner with Product and Engineering teams and incorporate field feedback.
• Travel: spend at least 25% of time onsite with strategic customers.
